Pros: Maggie, at the front desk during the day, is very friendly and helpful. My husband and I arrived early, after getting off of a cruise ship, and she had our room cleaned before the check-in time. There was a nice sitting area outside for us to stay while waiting for our room, and she stored our luggage in the office. We are seniors, and she helped us bring our luggage to our room when it was ready. We had a one-bedroom king suite for two nights, and it was very roomy, with a separate bedroom with a TV, and we liked all the black-out curtains. It was very quiet. The living room had another TV, table and chairs, a couch, and a kitchen with everything you would need. We had a view of the salt-water pool on the ground floor. There were many places to eat and/or pick up food close to the hotel, as well as not too far away walking along the ocean, as well as bars, some with live entertainment. We recommend Cafe Del Mar, with a singer and great food at a good price!
Cons: There were many lights outside, and you could see some light under the curtains at night, although this didn't really bother us. It was noisy when people were in their room upstairs with their shoes on, but after taking them off it was okay. The second day, the girl cleaning the room only left us one clean hand towel and no washcloths.

Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable bed and clean room and property in general. King room was smaller than expected, next time I'd go for a bigger one.
Cons: Our room was beside the pump for the pool which was on all night

A good comfortable stay in a classic hotel/motel style of accomodation.
Pros: Maggie on reception gave a nice welcome after travelling and definately an asset to this lodging. It's the classic style of hotel/motel that were in place before the big hotel companies bought land to develop. It's not fancy or glitsy - it is cute though and has two heated pool, although I didn't use them. My room on first floor was big and clean and had a fridge and walk-in cupboard clothes/iron & ironing board. Bathroom was small but had everything i needed...face tissue, lotion, shower gel. Shower water also went hot with very good pressure. Bed was also comfortable. Location was great too.
Cons: Unfortunately there were no power sockets near the bed. My door entry with the card took a few attempts to work. All accomodation in Central Beach part of Fort Lauderdale seems expensive and this was priced on the high side for what it is.

another great stay at the Aqua
Pros: Maggie was very nice, she and all of the staff really make this place special. this was our 2nd time staying at the Aqua and we were on the opposite side of the hotel, I guess this was 2 separate hotels many years ago as each side has its own pool? the location is great, one block from the beach. Breakers ave has lots of small local places to try the pool was heated and was great, room was checked over daily and coffee refreshed and new towels
Cons: we were on the ground floor this time and I think we prefer being up a level, just to minimise noise from late night revellers. the bathroom could have done with a little love, it was a little tired and rough around the edges. that said the shower was good and the water was hot.
