2025 hotel before cruise

Pros: We loved the vibe. Art deco. The room off the garden.

South Beach was lovely, very expensive! Some staff members come across very rude with the least question being too much

Pros: Location was good. Room was very spacious, liked the breakfast set up and also the beach chair setup

Cons: Sadly it was Spring Break ! very loud with lots of people congregating outside of the hotel

Pros: I loved that we were close to the beach and to the ocean drive! We get an amazing room ! We had free coffee in the room at the espresso machine, but also free breakfast at the restaurant “bacon bitch”( coffee and a croissant with butter and fruit jam. We loved our stay at Essex house ! Thank you!

Cons: No restock the room coffee and the water. We asked for room service and the service wasn’t available after waiting for a response 1 hour . they were cleaning the room, changing the bed, but they didn’t clean the floor, not even once

Pros: I absolutely loved my stay at the Essex House Hotel! The room was extremely clean and comfortable, which made my stay so enjoyable. The location is everything—it was so convenient to get around and explore the area. The staff was always so accommodating and friendly, making sure every detail was taken care of. And I have to mention—the shower was a whole experience! The water was perfectly hot with great pressure, which was such a treat after a long day out. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. I’d definitely come back and highly recommend the Essex House Hotel to anyone visiting the area!

Cons: Overall, my stay at the Essex House Hotel was pleasant, but there were a few things that could be improved. I was given room 317, and I noticed that the toilet didn’t flush instantly. It usually took three to four flushes after each use to get a full flush, which was a bit inconvenient. Additionally, the bathroom was quite small—though I understand that’s part of the historic charm and character of the hotel. With a few updates to the plumbing, this room could easily match the high standards the rest of the hotel offers.

Pros: The checkin and over night staff were great. My group was quite large and they accomodayed us as best as possible. The lobby area was very modern and smelled wonderful. Bonus for giving free drinks next door at the Clevelander. Location was perfect.

Cons: I stayed twice during this vacation. My room smelled a bit musty on the second stay although it seemed quite clean and refurbished.
